SBI PO Exam pattern and Selection Process 2013

The SBI-State Bank of India is india’s oldest bank.Before it was known as Imperial bank of india now.After 1955 bank named as State Bank of India. SBI provide vast services like banking products to the indian citizens through its vast network of branches in india and overseas at non resident NRIs

SBI group having more than 16,000 branches all over india, SBI is one and only the largest banking network in india with 14  local head offices and 57 Zonal offices and 130 Branches at overseas. SBI Head quarters located in Mumbai.

SBI PO Exam: Eligibility and exam pattern

Candidates should be indian citizen

Age limit : Candidates age should be 21 years and max of 28 years and age relaxation as per the govt rules.

Educational Qualification : Aspirants who are applying for these SBI PO vacancies should completed graduation or its equivalent in any stream from the recognized university with minimum of 60% for general category and candidates who belongs to reserved category should score 55% for ( SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS).Candidate should have minimum knowledge on computers.

Exam Pattern : SBI PO exam pattern 2013 mainly consists of phase I and Phase II candidates who clears both phases only called for the final selection.

Phase I: Objective paper : SBI PO Exam paper Objective paper consists of mainly four section each section carries of 5o marks total of 200 marks

English section

Quantitative aptitude

General Awareness

From mentioned above section each section 50 questions are expected and each question carries of 1 marks total number of questions will be 200 questions 200 marks.

Negative marks are applicable for one wrong attempt 0.25marks

Descriptive Paper : SBI PO Exam Paper Descriptive paper consists of letter writing,essay writing,précis writing,passage writing etc.


Phase II:

Group Discussion 20 Marks

Group Discussion (Rural) 10 Marks

Interview 30 Marks

Experience 10 Marks

Final Selection :

This is the final phase of the recruitment process PO interview will be considering candidates who clears all the rounds like GD –Group Discussion and SBI PO interviewby considering both the section candidates who secure 40% marks and candidates who belongs to reserved category SC/ST/OBC/PWD should secure 35% marks.

Candidates need to pass in both the phases I and II then only eligible for the final interview

, selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
